James C. Falcon President
Born and raised in Pennsylvania and a North Dakota resident since 2004, James keeps active through his work with Pride Minot (this is his third term, first as secretary and then as vice president), Relay for Life, the Ward County Historical Society, the Mouse River Loop Genealogical Society, and the Friends of the Minot Public Library. He is also a producer, director, and performer with the Magic City Misfits, an alternative performance group based in Minot. His goal is to help further the mission of Pride Minot by providing education, entertainment, and an overall feeling of openness and acceptance for the LGBTQA+ community.
Christopher grew up and graduated in Minot in 2006. He lived and worked in Fargo for 10 years, only recently returning to his home town. One of his first steps after arriving in Minot was to begin looking for volunteer opportunities. After signing up and helping with several of the July 2018 pride events he was nominated and subsequently elected Vice President. He is a dedicated ally to the community, a loving father of two, and a life-long hard worker. He plans to put his passion for connecting with people, creative problem solving, and interpersonal communication skills to work for the organization.
Shannon was born and raised in Minot. She is currently a Special Education teacher and lives in Minot with her two teenage sons, Lucy the dog, and Tony the cat. Shannon loves to meet new people and stays active in the community by volunteering and attending events that support local artists, musicians, and fellow fun-seekers. As a lifelong resident of Minot, she hopes to see the community continue to expand its diversity and culture. She believes Minot can be a city where everyone feels at-home.
Jorden Laducer’s career includes over 10 years’ experience in the non-profit sector having served in senior management roles. Born and raised in Belcourt, North Dakota, Jorden has lived in Fargo, North Dakota, for the past 12 years. After graduating from Moorhead State University and working in leadership roles in Fargo, he recently accepted a position in Minot, North Dakota, working with NDCPD at Minot State University. With Jorden’s previous leadership roles and his passion for helping people feel connected in their community, Jorden brings a new insight like others before him to the Pride Minot Board. Jorden’s ongoing mission is to share his life experiences and dynamic point of view to help bridge the gap in the LGBTQA+ community to bring awareness to issues that the community might be facing.
Originally born in Newark, Delaware, Rochelle has been part of numerous boards to include 'My Sister’s Place,' a program catering to the needs of previously incarcerated women, providing life skills, lodging, and classes for women adapting to life outside of an ever-changing society. After graduating high school, Rochelle attended Penn State University, and later Delaware State to receive her undergraduate degree in Forensic Biology, and then went on obtain her MS in Molecular Genetics. Following her studies, she went on to work for the American Red Cross and the University of Miami to hone her skills in science, as well as catering to the disadvantaged community. Currently, Rochelle is in the military to further her love for service. Helping to create a safe space for the LGBTQA+ military members is a goal, especially in an adverse climate.
