Members of the public are encouraged to join Pride Minot as they wind up the Minot Pride Festival 2018 with Puppy Pride, an event that includes our four-legged friends in an afternoon of fellowship, fun, and fresh air, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., on Sunday, July 15.
Admission is free, although a donation to the Souris Valley Animal Shelter is encouraged. Donations can be made monetarily toward their Capital Campaign (to build a new shelter) or in items from their wish list (https://svaspets.com/how-to-help/needs-list/) .
Representatives from the Souris Valley Animal Shelter will be at Puppy Pride with information about their capital campaign, how to volunteer with the SVAS, and how to adopt dogs that are available at the shelter. .
Pride Minot and the Souris Valley Animal Shelter will not be held responsible for accidents or thefts that occur at the dog park during this event. Participants are asked to follow the rules of the Dakota Bark Park (http://minotparks.com/parks/dakota-bark-park). The Dakota Bark Park is located in western Minot, off of the Highway 83 bypass.
Wind down after a week full of Pride and enjoy brunch at Broadway Bean & Bagel on Sunday, July 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Broadway Bean & Bagel has been a proud continuing sponsor of Pride Minot since the creation of the Minot Pride Festival in 2015.
Jellybean Entertainment presents "That 80's Show," an evening full of fun and entertainment showcasing local and regional drag performers, during the Minot Pride Festival 2018 on Saturday, July 14. Doors open at 7 PM, show begins at 8 PM.
This is an all ages show, although those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian. Please note that some subject matter, content, and language may not be suitable for younger audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
There will be a cash bar for those 21 and up. Please be sure to bring proper identification. There is an ATM located in the hotel lobby if needed.

We will be hosting our annual vendor show and fun run/walk, with food trucks and live entertainment, in Oak Park on Saturday, July 14th, to give local businesses an opportunity to show their support and show what they offer the community.
The Rainbow Fun Run and Vendor Show both start at 9 a.m. Browse the vendor tables while cheering on our runners!
Live entertainment starts at 10 a.m., followed by food trucks and beer garden (hosted by The Tap Room), starting at 11 a.m.

Join the Magic City Misfits as they celebrate their third anniversary with a shadowcast performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, the 1975 cult classic that is still running strong forty-plus years later! The show will be held in the Sleep Inn and Suites Convention Center. Doors open at 7 PM, with the pre-show starting at 8 PM.
Admission is $15, which includes an audience participation prop bag that includes all the essentials: rice, toast, toilet paper, and more! (A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to Pride Minot.) Tickets can be purchased -- cash or card -- at the door the night of the show.
Audience members are always encouraged to come in costume, either as your favorite RHPS character or however you see fit (just as long as your bits and pieces are covered!)

Pride Minot invites you to join us for a pre-Pride brunch at Souris River Brewing on Sunday, July 8, as we kick off the Minot Pride Festival 2018! Brunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Brunch is $14 per person, and it comes with endless sides and a buffet (bacon, sausage, home fries, yogurt, and fruit). Mimosas are also $2.
Pride Minot will hold an open board meeting at the Minot Public Library, Lower Level Conference Room, on Thursday, January 25, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to begin planning for the Minot Pride Festival 2018, which is scheduled for early July. All members of the community are welcome to attend and contribute ideas.

Pride Minot will hold its Festivus party -- a secular, low maintenance holiday gathering -- at Souris River Brewing on Wednesday, December 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
This gathering will also serve as an informal meeting where you can voice your concerns -- or air your grievances, if you will -- about the GLBTQA+ community in Minot and give your input on what things you would like to see happen in the community, including the Minot Pride Festival 2018. This event is all community members of all ages.
Pride Minot will be partnering with the First District Health Unit to offer HIV screening as part of World AIDS Day on Friday, December 1, at The Vegas Motel, in the Monte Carlo Room. The event will take place from 5:30 to 8 PM and will be free to the community.
The testing includes a rapid antibody screen that tests for HIV, which is collected by a small finger poke. Results are given in 15 minutes.
Pride Minot will be hosting its third annual FriendsGiving potluck dinner. We will provide the main course -- turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing -- all you have to bring is a side and your family and friends! (This is an all ages event.) Join us for a time of friends, food, and fun! We hope to see you there!

Pride Minot will be holding its second annual Water Gun Fight on Sunday, August 27, at Oak Park, alongside the Minot Food Truck Festival, hosted byNDstrong.
The cost of admission to the Water Gun Fight is an item for the Souris Valley United Way's Backpack Buddies program. A list of items can be found at www.svunitedway.com/backpack-buddies.

The positions include: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Member at Large, and a new addition: Youth Ambassador. (The Youth Ambassador shall be a part of and represent the youth population – ages 12 to 17 – with flexible time commitments and responsibilities. The Youth Ambassador will help oversee committees on youth-related subjects, as designated by the board, and outreach to local youth GLBT groups, i.e. Gay Straight Alliance organizations within the school system.)

Join us as we engage in a service project to help the YWCA Minot. We will be painting and pulling weeds, as well as other tasks that need doing.
Everyone who is interested should meet at the YWCA Women and Children's Homeless Shelter, located at 205 3rd Ave SE, Minot, at 12:45 p.m.
An open and affirming church service will be hosted by First Presbyterian at Oak Park (Shelter #8), starting at 9 a.m. All are welcome (and encouraged) to attend.

This will be a Pride-themed show, with our cast of characters dressed in their usual costumes, but with some elements borrowed from LGBT icons.
Audience members are invited and encouraged to dress up and attend. Come dressed as a character from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, or as an LGBT icon, or you can come as you are!
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at (website) until July 14 at 5 p.m.; after that, they can be purchased at the door until 9:30 p.m. that night. A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to the Pride Minot organization.

The Pride Minot executive board will host a meeting on Wednesday, April 12, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Costello's (located inside KJ's Fresh Market...the former MarketPlace by the Dakota Square Mall) to give the community an update on the progression of Pride Minot 2017 festivities, which will take place this July 13-16, 2017.
We are also having a T-shirt design contest for our Pride 2017 shirt! The theme for Pride 2017 is "Hope Is Never Silent." If you have a design idea, send it to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 10.
